Default Greetings from Springfield, MA.

Hello to the Miataturbo crowd,

My name is Kurt, and i have had a few miatas in the past though i am without one at the time being (which precludes any photographs at this time). I am 43, married, four children, and am currently attending Lincoln Tech. Inst. for Welding. I have a background in the military and in law enforcement. I hope to purchase another miata in the fall when i am finished with classes and can devote time, energy, and finances to the build.
I will be in the market for a 1994-5 when the time is right. I am currently just lurking the boards, soaking up as much information as possible. I won't be asking too many questions initially, just reading what others have done.

Thank you for your time and patience, and thanks for having me back.

Welcome, I'm from west Springfield. There's a few of us from the area with miatas.

Though I'm usually in Groton but I'm trying to get a new job back up here.

Hey Dragula... I am also originally from CT..new haven area..but my wife is from here.
Good luck with finding work up here, things are tough all over. Would like to catch up with some
Miata owners to get back in the game.

In the coming months there should be a few good shows that you can check out. Uconn and umass will both be in April and always have a good turnout. There is a smaller weekly meet at the table and vine in west Springfield. That's mostly a hang out and chat type meet.
I believe they started up a cars and coffee meet at Kringle candle up in bernardston if you're willing to wake up early and drive a bit.
And if you want to see some nice American stuff with some imports sprinkled around, Marks cruise night has a big weekly turnout in East Granby, CT

I don't really go to the Springfield meets though because it's mostly Honda stuff and i dont really care for that kind of thing.
