Default hallo from germany

hello,

i´m the new member
my name is Rainer - but in english its easier using "ray".
i´m located far far away at the boring country of germany (but some nice roads and track like some autobahn-highways or the nürburgring) - around 60miles away from the nürburgring and spa (in belgium).

i like cars (hey the most members here like cars too ) - and owned some japanese and german cars over the years (Nissan Skyline & 200SX, Mazda RX-7 & MX-3 2.5, Subaru Impreza WRX, Audis, BMWs).

i bought my miata (MX5) 4 years ago. its not the fastest car, its not the best looking car, its just a fun car.

and after a failed supercharger project (eaton M45 from a mercedes benz slk) - with a miata unfriendly housing and toooooo much boost for the 1.6 B6 - its time for more power!

i´m looking for a t25 turbo or a saab td04L fitted with a begi exhaust header and custom v-band downpipe to my aftermarket cat and my supersprint catback exhaust

so heres some pictures (one at the nürburgring last year):

and a video made at spa (just one round):

sorry for my bad english - it isn´t as good as it should be after the the years at school

Your English is fine... good intro thread.

One question... do you have cats (feline, not exhaust)?

ouch yes - in german we often say "Kat" instead of "Katalysator". So i wrote "cat" (like cat-less or cat-back) instead of "catalytic converter"
my fault sorry ^^

i got some big *** catalytic converters at my Audi S6... big enough for real cats

my coilovers ... don´t hit me - are racelands without the helper springs. driving fine for 4 years now. the only thing i´m missing are the adjustable dampers from my old tein or tanabe coilovers (other cars).

btw: good german - psyber_0ptix :-)

Ihr Englisch gesprechen ist besser als mien Deutsch gesprechen.

Wilkommen! I lived in Augsburg for two years when I was in Oberschule.

We can help you to make your car faster around the track if you are willing to learn. I would start with the suspension if I were you. You need more travel to get the most out of the shocks and springs.

Leider hab ich so viel Deutsch vergessen. Ich have ein semester bei der TU-Braunschweig under ein Practikum being BMW-FITZ gemacht.

I often wonder if I should have taken that job in Germany with ZF

i´m always willing to learn
maybe i´m replacing the coilovers next year with some HSD/BC Racing with adjustable dampers.

My VLSD works fine (after some work and fresh oil) and i got a front upper strut brace and a rear lower strut brace from a honda civic - instead of the mazda part ones (cause the car is too low for the mazda braces).
I´m going to replace the front sway bar with the bigger one from the NB model and the 235mm brakes with the bigger 255mm from the NB model.

that mods should be a good update in corners in my opinion - but i´m open for your ideas ;-)

more horsepower/torque and a better handling - makes a good fun car to an awesome fun car

Yea ZF but I would have been all over. First job would have been Passau. I got a govt job instead which aligned a bit better with my career goals. I do miss Germany though. Weihnachtsmarkt/Christkindlmarkt, Starkbierfest, just the culture overall.

Ah ****, here I am getting all nostalgic.

LOL.

I specified cat of the feline variety because of the mascot of this forum being the turbokitten... as seen here in a party hat

It may seem strange but many if not most of the people who post here like cats.
