Default Hello from Evil Genius

Hey all, just joined, I'm the guy who built the Snowmobile powered Miata LeMons car, I'll post some pics of the build as I have time..

How hot did the drive belt get during LeMons (or did you use the miata trans)?

Interesting. People usually put bigger engines in if they do a swap. In for goatse-esque gaping engine pay with tiny little snowmobile engine.

I could see saving time on fueling stops if you only had to change drivers at the mandated times, but didn't need to stay in the pits for the full five minutes for fueling. But lap times would suffer. Interesting.

Did some searching on the ol' webz. Apparently the entire engine and tranny only weights like 80lbs so the car is down to about 1300lbs. They are about 20hp down from stock, but I think that puts them ahead in the end.

And they never broke a drive belt...
