Just a little biased! I guess I would ask what seems to be the public opinion for track wheels? Not drag but lets say, time trials or something of the sort.

or RPF1's

6ULs are best bang for your buck, and i think a bit lighter

6ul > all for a track car.

I'm pretty partial to my konig wideopens now though.

Not quite as light as the 6ul, but definitely lighter than any xxr offerings.

I should clarify.... 6ULs are about as good as it gets for off the shelf and cheap price.

If money were no object, i'd be running some motherfucking Keizers or Kodiaks.

One of the Members on here is selling a set of 4 RPF1's for $700. And you can always check the classifieds for the 6uls as well, ive seen quite a few sold on here. They are fairly inexpensive brand new as well though.

Ask Brain. If he isnt too backed up or anything, He is probably your best bet, and the best price.

Thanks.

Another thing i thought of about your overheating issue.
I noticed you aren't using an intercooler, i'm suspecting that your IAT's are pretty high. Could be even high enough to increase the coolant temperature.

I guess just start removing the bandaids and installing proper modern parts.

Yeah I was thinking that was part of the problem as well. I'm well aware of what I need to take care of. I drove the car home and it is parked outside where it will set until i get the parts. Im going to message the one guy on here to get a MS for it but from the looks its only the board. Is it meant to fit in the stock ECU case or what? I've built my own gen 1 MS for my 240sx but it looked way different.

As far as intercoolers go, I dont want to spend the $700 + for the flyin miata one but I dont want to cheap it out either. What all experiences have you had with Intercooler kits?

80% of us run ebay intercoolers and piping on this site. 20% of us run a "name brand" intercooler like myself (i have one for sale in the FS section BTW). FWIW i had an ebay one, it didn't work as good as my vibrant core one. But it will work plenty fine for a moderate amount of power.

You can get a DIYPNP from diyautotune.com or whatever it is. You can buy a MSPNP. You can have Brain, or reverant build you one.
Buy a wideband. You should have a bung on that exhaust somewhere for one.
I suggest the purchase of a wideband first and foremost. You can always wire it into the MS later.
