Hello from Madison, Indiana! -- New to mazda!
Hi all, I'm Jerad. I decided to bet back into cars and since I helped my childhood friend who has passed, build his miata, I thought I would get one too.
So, with that being said I have managed to pick up a 93 miata, black with tan leather interior and a tan soft top. the mileage on this beast is 122,xxx and its in really good condition, minus the top.
I have read on here before, and I am well aware of the dangers. the car came with the old school looking greddy bolt on turbo kit with that crappy vortech fuel pressure regulator.. needless to say, Im working on getting a ms2pnp and some rx7 injectors.
I hope that the miata community is just as helpful as the 240sx community, and I look forward to buying your used parts and sharing the experience with you all.

Welcome! Sounds like you are on the right track! Im sorry about your friend... But good for you for keeping his spirit alive, and getting a miata! It is an amazing platform to build on, and it sounds like you got a good one. WE WANT PICS!!!! lol
Very clean...
I love black cars, but will never own one again. It's not a color, it's a career choice.
You spend all day washing, polishing, waxing, and as soon as you go inside to take a leak, some kid down the street sneezes and BOOM. You're car is dirty again.

The more I look at it, the more I like it. Please avoid any modifications such as XXR wheels, raceland coilovers, stickers, drift charms, electrical tape on the headlights, ***** shift ***** (real ****** are fine) and/or any other "JDMYO" mods.
You really have a nice looking Miata, perfect sleeper.

well there are 2 usb drives, 2 house keys, a 2004 G35 key, a 2005 yamaha R6 key. lol I know its a lot to put in the pocket!
Per the previous owner, a local car shop up in indy wanted to develop some parts for the miata, per their agreement he got to keep the prototype radiator. It has all the normal bolt on locations for the fans etc.. Its Giant.
Im going to leave the setup as it is. with the exception of finishing the greddy kit and adding the front mount and other reliability mods. the suspension is tokyo struts and springs. the car rides nice for as low as it is.
Btw, Im looking for a MSPNP, so if you have one cheapter than 800 on the DIY site im open to pay for it!
The only concern i have now is that the waterpump was just replaced along with the timing belt and the car while driving normally doesnt overheat or anything but if you try to rip on it ( I know i shouldnt due to the lack of supporting mods for the turbo) the temp goes to the middle of the gauge and sits before returning to the 11 o'clock position. Im sure this is just an effect of lack of tuning and no intercooler for the turbo but I wanted to make sure.
Any Ideas?

yeah I use to have a 2002 black s2000.. worst color choice ever. I wont be driving the miata to work everyday so it should stay fairly clean. but I know how you feel, spending all that time cleaning just to have dust and pollen attract to your car like a magnet..

I will be flushing this weekend and I will try that and report back.
I dont think they are real xxr's.. I'll double check though. Also, It has a boss frog double hoop roll bar I dont like it personally but thats 600 I dont have to spend so I'll deal with it.
