Talking Hello New member from FL

Hello and good evening to everyone.

My name is Jonathan and i am from Miami, FL

I have a 2004 Mazda Miata base model that i have had for i can say at least 4 years

I bought my car with 66k and is now going to 106k and counting.

I have done the following to my car to my car over the following years of owning it.

- Hard top obtained.

- VMAXX Coilovers

- FM Sway Bars

- FM Stage 1 Clutch and light flywheel

- FM Clutch override

- Stage 2 Boundary Oil Pump

- ATI Dampner with stock crank wheel

- resealed engine (Had oil leaks through oil pan and valve cover so decicded to redo all seals) Performed at 100k

- Resealed Transmission (Same as engine)

- Timing belt and water pump (100k)

- Spark plugs and coils and cables (100k)

- Radiator and hoses (100k)

- AC Compressor and Power steering pump (100k)

- Crank sensor and cam sensor

- Autometer Water temp sensor

- Innovate Wideband Sensor

- 4 X 15' Konig wheels with new Dunlops Dirrezza tires

- K&N Thyphoon Intake filter

i recently lost my cars ECU (It looks like the coil connectors broke somewhere in the middle and it shorted my stock ecu).

My uncle helped me locate it was a crack in the coil connector and it killed my ecu so i bought new connectors and we redid the connectors for the ignition coils.

I upgraded the ecu to a MSPro3 Pnp with the bracket and had it installed. a fellow friend from FB assisted in street tuning the car.

the car runs but i feel it's not running as optimal as needed but it's a start.

i hope i get to learn from everyone on this forum and i hope i can get a bit of help with my issue.

Its a work in progress but from the cars i've had before. this car to me has been a gem. i've never gone this far on any previous car i had and neither have i had so much fun

Thanks in advance and i'll post in a seperate post to see if anyone can help.

Hello! Fellow noob here also, wanting to say hello. That's a solid start on modifications, nicely done. Would love to see a picture or two of the miata.

TheCarPassionChannel on YouTube has good info for noob-friendly introductory videos on MegaSquirt, to help get you pointed in the right direction. That's how I first got oriented. After you look through those, then check out the videos from a MT.net member's YouTube channel, OGPedXing, on all things MegaSquirt. Both of those channels have been very helpful for me, having no prior experience with MegaSquirt or aftermarket ECUs.

Good luck.

@BladeWarrior I use a third party image hosting service to post images to forums, Imgur. Others may have another solution they are using, but this has worked well for me so far. Google is your friend.

Hi, your car mechanically doesn't sound too dissimilar from my own. I am also down here in Miami, FL.

What specifically about your tune do you think is not optimal? The spark table? Fuel table?.... If you post your tune up on your post we can take a look at it and give you some pointers.

Same. I've got some pretty rough spots on my ride too, as do others on the forum. The fun part is building it to your spec, fit and finish. Enjoy the car and the ride dude.

That would be awesome i did place it on the ecu forums with two logs on a zip file.
Maybe we should hang out.
It runs but there are times where the idle just doesn't act right with the AC.
I am not the best when it comes to ecu tuning. i don't understand it too well.
A friend helped tune the car but when hot and it idles it acts weird.
You should see it on the logs i placed on the zip
Thank you in advance.
