Default Hi From SoCal

Hey everyone

I recently picked up a 94 M edition, w/LSD and it had 98kmi on it.

While right now I dont know what path or end goals I have for power for my Miata but that will come later down the line. I plan on using my Miata as a second/track car, yes I am looking at real roll bars.

Oh yes the WRX in the pic is mine too. Its going back to stock and im gonna sell it soon for a older Tacoma. It only has a few parts left on it from a pretty modified state, like the 04 STi BBS wheels, a down pipe, and Defi gauges. The gauges are 60mm Defi BF gauges (boost, egt, oil temp) that I might be looking to trade for like a hardtop.

Welcome... kinda.... we'll see how you take to getting butt hurt.

You did post a picture, so props on that.. any more? I know you don't have a specific path for your car yet, but I'm assuming since you are here it will involve boost?

So, in the mean time I lurked a lot on here, sold that WRX bought an E46 M3(one of my dream cars), was ultimately unimpressed with the M3, selling the M now, and now further mod the miata.

I currently have a MSPNP and LC1 that I want to install in my miata and searching for some 550cc RX7 injectors and begin to learn to tune NA before adding the boost. For boost I'm torn on rather to DIY(artech or absurd flow) or prefab(begi or FM2) kit it. My goals are a reliable and HPDE-able 200-250whp using most likely a GT2560R.

What didn't you like about the E46? I borrowed an '06 competition package for a month but felt a little disconnected from everything. I still like the looks, sound, and comfort (compared to my E36), but if I owned one, I'd want to track it and that would get expensive quickly.

My M3 is actually a 06 Comp w/6spd. Its a really nice car, and love its looks, I swapped out the control arm bushings for poly because i like what that did to the miata, and it made steering feed back a lot nicer. Ive come to the conclusion while it may not be the best in any one particular category its pretty much a close 2nd, and because of that if you could only have one car it would be a good car to server many functions.

But fun doesn't start in that car till you have broken every speed law in the US, it comes down to "its more fun to drive a slow car fast, than a fast car slow".

My dollar per fun ratio on the miata is pretty awesome, but its pretty obscene on the M.

Yep, that's a good way of looking at it. The Bimmers were always deceptively tame at high speeds.

I love the Interlagos, by the way.
