just signed up today
i've had a miata for about 2 years now, but just got around to modifying it.
someone told me that a guy named paul in this group has a 1.8 running over 300hp with stock internals. i would like to see this guys setup so i can get some hints on how to do the same.
can someone guide me in the right direction?

well i dont really have a goal right now. just taking it step by step, but i want to set a goal in the near future for how much i want. right now im just looking for a good ECM so i can put a 99 head on my car, and get it running right before i do forced induction

I'd love to have 300hp in the future, but believe me, it's not necessary. I have a bit over 200 and my car's a blast to drive (IMHO..) and has embarrassed many a Mustang owner who underestimated what a Miata can do..
Purely IMHO, but I wouldn't go straight from 100ish to 300 all at once, work your way up and learn the car. I've been driving on 240 hp for a while now and the thought of 311 (like Paul makes) still makes me a little nervous.

15 psi, yes.
Edit - Just in case it looks like I'm posting conflicting information between here and the myface, I would still get the 3" exhaust because eventually you will reach the point where you're glad you bought it, if not right away. Why buy an expensive 2.5" exhaust and then later need a 3" when you could've just bought the 3" to begin with?
