Long time searcher, first time poster.
Just thought I would finally do an intro thread. I bought a 1990 1.6 a couple years ago for 1800 dollars. It had the dreaded short nose crank failure, so in went a junkyard 1.6. It also had frozen delrin bushing and worn sub frame control arm mounts. The bushings where so bad that full droop was not a possibility even with the shock removed and a hammer. So in went sub frames an Energy Suspension bushing. The good about the car was a hard dog roll bar, tokico shocks and springs, eibach sway bars with adjustable end links, new stock clutch, racing beat sub frame connector, exhaust and a Mazda comp rear diff. With the suspension fixed and painted. I purchased a hard top and put in a used race seat we had laying around with harnesses. So the car is starting to come along.
The turbo project is in the works. I had a turbo DSM before and when the timing belt gave up I salvaged all the good parts and decided to turbo the Miata.
