Hello everyone; checking in from SoCal. When I'm not working on the car, I'm working on the car culture/lifestyle website BeastCoast. I own a 2000 Maxima but am in the process of selling it; and have decided I want a miata. My long term goals (within a year) is to have her turbocharged in the range of 190-240WHP. I have been looking at the BENGI kits but hoping to meet people who will help me build a custom one. In the mean time searching for a clean Miata to buy and what year; leaning towards a 94. Thanks

 

Welcome to the forum.

Turbo kits are illegal in Commiefornia. You can't turbo a DD and still make it to work on Monday, anyway. A turbocharged Miata should always be a second vehicle because there are always bugs to be worked out.

I've never heard of that brand of turbo kit you mentioned.

I see some of the stupidity in other posts, too. I assumed ESL in one of the others but this seems strangely nefarious.
