Default New but not really...

Hey guys!

So I've been a long time reader of this forum ever since I got my miata. Unfortunately I never decided to join until now! This site have me a ton of insight on the proper way to go about creating my own turbo kit for the miata.

However, before I had a chance to install the turbo I decided to go in a completely different direction with the car. So mainly I'm creating this account as an extra avenue to take in selling all the turbo parts I have accumulated over the past year since purchasing my miata, and as a way to say thank you to the community who without knowing it has been a gigantic help along the way.

Thanks again!
-Steve

V8 swap? Even though this is MiataTURBO, there are all sorts of non-turbo builds on here too.

Yup! The plan is to try to get some money back and to do a 5.0 V8 build.

Also I in no way meant for the post to come across as a goodbye to this forum. I love reading all the build threads and info that a lot of people with more skill than I have all put together.

Where are you from Steve? I've always wanted to see someone use an aluminum world or coyote block for the 5.0 swap.

I'm from bucks county PA. And the build won't be done for a while. Need to keep saving some money. Basically I have a complete turbo kit for the 1.6 but my engines bad. So I'm debating on going 1.8 turbo or the more unique 5.0 swap

And yes if I had the money a coyote swap would be amazing. Although for whatever reason I've always been a fan of the LS engines

I actually meant to type world or dart block, as in old school 5.0, but yes a coyote swap would be legit. Ford Racing makes an aluminum block as well.
Sell your 1.6 setup regardless of which route you take.
You have many options, don't make the 1.6 one of them.
If you're considering spending money on a swap, check out the k series swap thread.
It may very we'll become one of the best bang for your buck NA options.

Can you explain more about the k series swap? Or link me to the thread about it?

Gladly.
David (K Miata) is now a supporting vendor, and he has developed some kits.
Here is the link to the MT.net discussion: https://www.miataturbo.net/engine-pe...ta-swap-71588/
Here is the link to the K Miata site:K Miata Home
They are still a little pricy if you don't fab any of your own parts, but still well under what you would sink into a V8 swap.

Oh man that sounds incredible...i wonder how difficult it's going to be to source those parts though as they're still relatively new.
