Welcome Chris. We love all miatas here, as long as they are aren't slammed and stretched.

What are you plans for the miata?

if i can sell my other car for what i want, i'll have funds for a hardtop (the glass window is coming off of the convertible top and i have it held together janky) and tein basics, i'm not going to slam it because i like being able to drive it haha, function all day. Definitely a good rollbar, bolt ons, exhaust and intake, all that stuff just for poops and giggles, and when i get outta school i'll probably boost it, possibly even supercharge it. for now it will be my dd, with maybe some autocrossing in the future.

Hardtop, suspension and roll bar = good idea.

Exhaust and intake = not worth the $. Intake doesn't exactly net you a lot of power for the money spent, and exhaust is only worth it when turbocharging.

yeah the only reason i'd consider exhaust is to get tone, as for intake, i may just fab something up but who knows, the two main things i'm focusing on are suspension and hardtop, hardtop mainly because my mom said she feels safer with me having that haha (i'm only 17) even though it still probably wouldnt protect you much more

I vote for Roll bar + Hardtop + Suspension + MegaSquirt. Start learning it now and you will be pro by the time you are ready for boostz.

The hard top will not protect you at all. Rollbar first IMO, it's the only thing on your list that could actually save your_ass.

Welcome chris! Where in nc are you? do you have an interest in events at all, or just having a clean, nice looking car? either way, good start so far!

i'm in the wake forest/raleigh area, going to be in morresville in about 6 months for a year, i'd like to track it once in a while but chances are it'll be to just get it looking good first, aswell as the suspension set up
