Hello everyone! New member here, been tracking cars since last summer added a miata to the stable as a cheap track car. Always wanted one and picked one up that was boosted and built by a prior owner.

I was wondering if anyone on here knew any history about my car. It looks like it has the greddy kit on a 1.6 and the prior owner states it has parts that don't exist .

Still at the price I paid it was worth the risk the car is mechanically sound except for one issue. It has an exhaust leak. Its blowing smoke on top of the manifold where it mates to the turbo. I thought I had it fixed but after one pedal mash the leak came back. Turbo spools up but the car has a bouncing idle, is extremely lean at idle, and is smoking.

Any history on the car would be helpful or any recommendations on where to take it in NY would be great.
