New-Old Noob from East TN
Hey y'all, my name is Nick. I just picked up a solid 2002 LS after a few years of not having a Miata. 92k miles, midnight blue mica, 6 speed/torsen, thicc factory brakes, etc. Check out the photos below. It's in great shape bodily, and just has a few leaks and old hoses mechanically. As far as future plans go, David's caught my interest with the K24Z3 kit, and of course turbski kits like what Lars and Kraken sell are on the radar. For this summer and fall, it'll be maintenance and tiny mods while I put together a bigger plan and set up a better-equipped garage. If you're in the Knoxville/Sevierville/Morristown area, hit me up for a drive or help doing any work. I noticed MATG got cancelled, but would be glad to go for a drive up there anyway whenever.
As far as driving goes, I'm honestly interested in trying anything. Autocross, HPDE, competitive classes. I don't know where to start but that shouldn't be hard to figure out.
Right after getting it home.
The wife digs it.
Fully loaded for hairdresser memes.

Welcome! That NB looks to be in great shape!
Glad to see another East Tennessean around here. I now live in the Knoxville area but was raised just 2 miles from the Jefferson county line. So I've been to Jeff City many times.
Definitely hit me up anytime you plan for a drive. I've been on the lookout for more enthusiasts to hang with. All of my car buddies now live an hour away, so I don't get to hang out much.
You mention a Kraken/MKturbo kit. I actually recently purchased a kit from Lars and it is due to arrive sometime next week, if you're interested.

I’m in sevierville and am always interested in going for a drive. Also if you want a ride in a k24a2 miata hit me up. That’s what really sold me that k is the way. I also have an LFX miata.
As far as racing goes, I run with ETRSCCA. The next event is 8/2 at Bristol Motor Speedway. I’ll be there with a buddy and hopefully will have both cars out. We’re also planning to drive both cars to the “cancelled” MaTG. I’m betting cancelling it will work about as well as cancelling Rod Run!
If you want to run a HPDE soon I’ll be at NCM on 7/19.
Nice car!

Houleo, I appreciate the sentiment. I'll get one posted once I have some more content and some semblance of a plan.
Artifex and alienmiata1, I'll shoot y'all PM's. I'd be glad to get together some time. I have a few other buddies around here that have been looking for more hangouts, events, and drives.

Welcome Nick! That's a nice looking NB2.
I'm in Knoxville myself, look up Knox Area Roadsters on Facebook. That's probably the most active group around here.
The rabbit hole is deep with miatas nowadays. I'm in the process of the k24z3 swap myself, though my car is strictly built for the track and certain classes. If you have any intentions of going on track and want more power, Kmiata is the way to go.
