I drive a flat black spray painted 1996 with a big punisher skull on the hood (go ahead hustler i know u got something to say, just remember you drive a miata too) anyway i just purchased a FM II kit and look forward to joining the boosted clan in a couple months when I return home from Afghanistan.

been thinking about the flat black, how hard is that to keep clean? Or does it even show dirt?

I am assuming by joining and announcing your arrival just prior to your rotation in the sand-box you plan on spending several months researching before you start turning wrenches? ...Or did you hope we would miss you?

Welcome, keep your eyes open and head down, and we look forward to hearing about your safe return.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe he is already in Afghanistan, about to end his rotation...

Usually our deployments last a bit longer then a couple of months. Although that is Army, AF and Navy are a different story.. <insert cross service bashing comment here>.

Stay safe on the way home man, have fun at "customs", hope you packed light. Hopefully you took advantage of the SDP or whatever it's called, you can't beat 10% interest.

FRT - I'm guessing you're a devil dog?

Well I guess FRT_Fun is not one of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children.

I'm guessing ground-pounder or fly-boy...

I am an army national guard MP and I am getting ready to go back home I have been over here since august and yes i do plan on researching for the next month and half (give or take) before i get back although I have also been researching for the last couple of years since i bought the car lol. I have some experience turning wrenches i help out at a local mechanic shop in exchange for using their facility, tools, and knowledge so that makes allot of projects easy my biggest issue is going to be with properly tuning the car. Im sure my best bet would be to take it to a professional dyno tuner which is on me to find $ and a good shop for.

as far as keeping the paint clean.... i jingle canned it after getting backed into and the cop(fat lazy donut eating piece of $h!t) blaming me for driving a small car. therefore no insurance money, so if it gets dusty i just hose it down or wait for rain but it can pick up stains from mud which i just re-spray over i will probably never have it professionally painted, its just to relaxing to not care about damage, since that same spot was rammed again but this time it was a hit and run at my apartment complex so again not insurance money.

What I was guessing you are, since you mentioned all of the other services. Although in re-reading your post it appears you're in the Army, like me.
