Well knowing you are close to Raleigh makes a difference, as I have family there and might considering bringing up a motor. If you go into your user control panel you can add your location so it shows up under your name. Had you done that you would not have a million people asking.

If someone has a part they want to sell badly enough, they will go through the trouble to message me or email me. If you don't want to sell it, don't bother me with semantics.

I'm tired of these useless, time wasting posts. Let's keep things progressive, please.

No people won't necessarily message you if they want to sell something badly enough. I have a spare 1.8, but have a limit to how far I am willing to go to sell it. I have no desire to ship it, but if someone is within driving distance I would be willing to deliver it.

It is your original post that was useless. You gave us no information about what you actually wanted, where you were located, and really it is not even in the right forum section. We have a section for WTB.

Thanks for the heads up. Details on the engine, please...

It is out of my 94. Has approximately 114k on it with about 25k boosted at 10psi with a GT2554. Was running strong when I pulled it last June. Currently the oil pan and pump are off it. The pan already has a hole drilled and tapped for an oil return line. If you are seriously interested in it, shoot me a pm.

This is only true IF AND ONLY IF the person is motivated to sell the engine because they want it gone/need the money/etc. If someone has an engine, but doesn't *need* the money, and doesnt *need* it out of their garage, they're not going to take the time to find out if you live 10 states away, or 10 miles away. If YOU want this transaction to happen badly enough, you'll list your location in your profile - but you obviously don't care if you find an engine or not. Why should someone else put forth effort to help you when you won't put forth the effort to help yourself? There's a chance that I have a good running motor that needs only the throttle body replaced, which I might be willing to part with cheaply, but even if I did, it wasn't worth my time to email you for the 1% off chance that you'd be close enough for it to even matter. I don't need the money right now, and it's not taking up any *need to have* space - I'm not motivated enough to ask someone where they live, but I'd be willing to help out someone if I knew he was local.

You would prefer that I send you a useless, time wasting, non-progressive email asking you where you live? We don't work well with "progressives" around here.
