Hello to all, again. I got off to a not great start around here a while back but I’m back with my head screwed on straight-ish.
So I’ve got a 90 that I’ve had for almost 15 years and has been bone stock the whole time but now it’s time to change that!
Step 1: I started by building a MS3 wit the x board and getting the 1.6 running and butt tuned on it. While that was going on I sourced a wrecked 2002 (hard s package with only 55k on it!) and pulled the motor, 6spd and LSD (along with the brakes and bilstiens) to swap in.
Step 2: is where I’m at now. Minor refresh on the vvt, along with upgrading the injectors (picked up some flow force 640s), swapping the intake (skunk2) and tapping a turbo oil drain. Then getting it into the NA, running, and learning to tune the vvt.
Step 3: turbo. It’s here that I’m still working out the plan. Money is a factor but obviously I want to do it right the first time.
Step 4: make the car pretty.

Thats the plan for now, but with young kids at home there is no real timeline. This is a long term but fun project.
