I just got that in my introductory PM, yeah, anyone who has read this forum for more than a couple minutes knows that's BS.

Anyway introduction thread, I'm 25, enjoy long walks on the beach, candle lit dinners, horsepower and autocross. I've got a reasonably close to stock 91 waiting on the next gen 6uls to come out, the plan is to get them, then some suspension (still fine tuning that decision but probably some xidas) drop in a 1.8 torsen, clutch, and then forced induction or build a 1.8 drop it in and then f/i, I'm still figuring it out that's why I'm here. I'm in it for the long haul build because I don't really do anything with my car quickly (especially driving it right now)

Mostly I just registered so I could see the pictures from old threads that I'm pulling up and trying to get info from, Brain keeps posting tons of charts that are invisible and I figured it was because I wasn't registered, it turns out though that the links are just 404'd because they're so old and so this didn't do me much good. I'll continue to lurk and wish that I could see all the old pictures but I figured I might as well post an intro thread now so if I ever do ask question in the future you can't call me out and say I didn't do this.

I went ahead and decided to do something helpful instead of just complaining about missing images and so I made this chart of all the old threads I've found that are missing vital images.

You'll notice on the chart that I've listed out all the threads that are missing dyno charts in green, wiring diagrams in blue, and useful pictures in red.

I figure if you can follow that diagram and go back through you'll save a lot of people from asking the same repeat questions.

It's every thread that pre-dated 2011 or so and had pictures linking to boostedmiata.com.

they probably weren't that important anyways and reference MS1 stuff.

I still have it all local, and would consider fixing if it was actually pointed out, and worth reuploading.

hoenstly, a lot of MS1 information on here needs to be purged. I've had too many people with issues with their MS3 because they were attempting something silly that we did back in 2006 on the MS1.

But really, about half the images not hosted here directly are blocked at work for me, so i really honestly didn't know if there was one there or not.

Lol. Would read again. Welcome. I do agree with everything you said. Part of the problem is the stuff is stickied so you think. Oh this is important pertanant stuff. Its not. And you look through it thinking its useful when you should be reading the megamanual.

edit: fixed my grammar.

Since you actually have the ability if it's all saved I'd love to see the dyno charts from this thread, especially post #2, but if you've got it that it can be restored all that information would be super useful towards my decision making process.

I also had some heating issues at autocross and was looking into wiring my fans to run in parallel, it doesn't look like these 2 wiring diagrams from the "useful saved posts" are hosted directly but any chance they're in your treasure trove of hidden pictureknowledge?

1. all the turbo plots were worlds better.
2. don't wire your fans in parallel, it's a band-aid solution that doesn't fix the issue.

You want a properly working cooling system rather than blowing more air at a crappy one.

Re-route, Proper heat exchanger, and proper shrouding will works wonders.

Unfortunately it will cost more than the cost of running 2 wires to the 2nd fan.

I looked at the m-tuned reroute before even thinking about the band aid fix of wiring my fans to run in unison but the kit is specific for 1.6 vs 1.8 and I'm still undecided on whether I'm going to keep the 1.6 for the long run. To me it doesn't make sense to fix it "properly" twice. That's why I was looking at temporary solutions.

As towards the turbo vs super debate my understanding was that the FFS coldside kit was better efficiency and superior to turbos in every way, I really just wanted the charts to decide how much faster I'd be than the inferior turbo cars. It's so efficient you don't even need a intercooler.

Those are pretty sweet, I think that seals the deal for me, you should be a salesman for ffs.

Oh man, I looked into them a bit more and it seems that the yoyos no longer come with the kit. What a dick, getting me all hyped up like that only for me to find out my window of opportunity has long since closed, this is a let down.

Are the BEGI ones engine specific? I like them more anyways. No remote thermostat housing or weird spring filled hose.

Just do the mt.net standard reroute (edit: Curly beat me to it). It's less expensive, works and will swap to your 1.8.

You're hilarious BTW. Props.

I still have two MS1s. Brain scoffs.
