The Firm isn't a real track. And it's got some serious safety issues.

Sebring is $200 a day with NASA. $300 a day with PDG, but you get more track time. I'm running with PDG at Sebring on the 12th.

I need to make it out to sebring. Hard to justify so much $ but i guess its not an every week thing.

There is an FCRC on the 12th should you be interested in seeing how you stack up to the ole NA 1.6 NA

I'll be at Sebring on the 12th.

It used to be $400 for two days at Sebring and $200ish for one. It must have gone up recently. They changed the rules last year that beginners couldn't do a single day. I didn't wee a single day option for anyone now.

Performance Driving Group is who I am with on the 12th. I don't pay for track days on the days I instruct, so the cost varies for me.

This.

Besides rule #1 with any automotive project is that it will take longer and be more expensive than you originally plan no matter what.

So they say the 1.6 vlsd barely handles stock power?

It depends. I have seen them die at stock power, I have seen them in boosted cars for reasonable amounts of time. Overall they tend to fail, so replacing early is good preventative maintenance.

Zoom Zoom

270 whp for 60+ autox runs (all with drag launch) and still alive. I think the 1.6 vlsd is pretty capable or I have a magic diff in my casing.

it's simply a matter of time. it's not capable.

My friend's stock diff died when he left a stoplight going slightly uphill.

My old car had a stock diff for 180k+ miles supercharged, turbocharged and autocrossed for years.

Sometimes you get lucky, but that doesn't mean you get to be a snide smart ***.

Maybe I should have said it differently but I don't think it came off as intended.

Brain is right though, the vlsd maybe survives or w/e, but it doesn't perform like a Torsen.
