I have a 1993 Miata. The ac compressor kicks off and on at highway speed. I put a new dryer and compressor on it. It was already converted to 134a. The old compressor was doing the same thing before it locked up. I know it is charged up right. All my pressures read fine. Could this be the high pressure switch doing this?

sixshooter 06-03-2017 09:32 PM

They are supposed to cycle on and off. Is there a perceived problem with the frequency?

I'm not much better as far as noobs go I guess. I KNOW that I have Google at my finger tips, but Google isn't always right. I go to this page to get advice from people with experience to save me the headache of getting something wrong because the Google Gods were not in my favor. I feel bad asking my poor husband a million car questions (because he is a motorcycle guy) so I go to the car experts :hustler: You need a thick skin and a sense of humor to hang with you guys LMAO ;)

Awesome!
We love beer and cars too.
Cats too.
You should make an introduction thread in the newbie section.
This is a joke thread.

*Classifieds Posting Permission*

(Might be the wrong place to ask a question but I cant find somewhere else to do it.)

I have been a member for a while now and bought a couple things off connections here. However due to changes in plans I want to trade all my turbo parts (96-97 NA 1.8) but I do not have permission to post. How do I go about it? Anyone I need to talk to?

B Mike 03-03-2018 06:28 PM

How does this total cat thing work?

wackbards 03-03-2018 07:03 PM

This thread is goddamn flypaper for noobs.

Hi folks. I’m a Noob from Houston. I have a stock 2005 LO MSM with 21.5K miles and a stock 2004 VR MSM with 22.2K miles. The 2005 feels the slightest bit faster. Is that normal?

sixshooter 04-23-2018 06:41 AM

A v6 Camry is faster than a stock MSM, so I wouldn't be losing sleep over it.

Greetings - Justin the Noob here

Hi guys, I'm Justin. I have a 1999 Miata in Emerald Green Mica - but you don't care about the color. Here's the mod list:
  • FMII Turbo kit, installed ~5k miles ago
  • ACT stage 1 clutch and 13lb flywheel
  • FM SS 3" exhaust
  • Wilwood big-brake kit
  • Koni/FM shock/spring set
  • FM bracing: strut tower, brake master cylinder, butterfly, cannon (subframe) and Paco Motorsports Strong Arms
  • Hard dog roll bar
  • Kosei 15x8s and Yokohama 205/50/15s
  • Lotus Elise seats on custom-fabricated mounts (mounted to factory sliders)
  • Nardi wheel
  • MiataRoadster shifter
Basically bill cardell's whole catalog :-)

Installed by Bill Cooper of Coop's Miata in Maple Valley, WA and tuned to 248 WHP at 11.5 lbs by Josh at Corvettes of Auburn

Good to be among friends...

Lurker here.

Hello! My name is Justin, I've been lurking on here for a few years, finally decided to make an account because I have to move on and sell my 95' FMII Turboed Miata :(

Miata Money 05-11-2019 12:13 PM

Hey there. I have a 1990 Miata pretty stripped down. Just started my own youtube channel focused on building the car to be more track ready. Classified here look like they will be a treasure chest of goodies.

Welcome. I would highly suggest posting as many meaningless posts as necessary to gain access to the classifieds, as quickly as possible. After all, this site is your own personal Craigslist!

Hello all!
My name is Ted, and I'm a Subaru freak. Unfortunately, I do not own a Miata. :( However, I respect them. They're a real challenge to catch on the RallyX courses I race on out here in Southeastern Arizona! LOL
I joined this forum for the awesome content in the MegaSquirt portion of these forums. You see, my '99 Legacy Outback (daily/RallyX car) has a turbo added onto the existing 2.5L powerplant and for EM, I chose the MicroSquirt. I'm finding I keep returning here when I am seeking for good, solid, and well written information on the MegaSquirt platform and TunerStudio. There's a wealth of information in these forums and I plan to glean as much as I can in order to tune my Subaru properly and... hopefully find some ideas on displaying critical data in a compact package. :D
Anyway, I'm glad to be here! And who knows.... maybe I'll catch the Miata virus and get one. ;) LOL
