Hi, I am the owner of a 1992 miata (as my name suggests). So far not much is done with my car, I put in coilovers and that, along with my $200 hardtop in mint condition, are the only mods so far. However, I may have stumbled down the rabbit hole of going boosted. Me being the noob I am, will try to avoid asking stupid questions and reading up on a lot of this stuff on my own time.

P.S. I do know how a search bar works and will use it

Welcome aboard and congratulations. Most all of us started from scratch and began with dreams and ideas like you have. If you are budget-minded, it is most efficient to understand what power goals you are after and plan that out with the advice and help of this network. If you post your location, I am pretty confident you will also find a local network that will welcome you too. 200-250 HP range is what you will already have read and many times the first level that several plan around. Your 1.6 (and I have personally roasted one) is not the most recommended platform to invest and build around but the ones that do will swear by their builds, at least till they figure out the 1.8 is great way to go. Yes, I was one of those too and have more than a thousand bucks of parts that I bought and then threw in boxes after moving onto the 1.8 path.
