This is my report of an MS2 assembly.
I have bought also the SEQMOD module for full sequential injection.

I have all I need to start

Partially done

Mainboard done, except the voltage regulator in the proto area that is work in progress. I cannot find 3K, 30K and 48.7K 1% I have found 2.7 and 3.3K, 33K and 47K.

This is what is left unmounted and I know that it's needed :
-position and shunt jumpers
-wire
-screws for case
-D-sub connector Hood

This is what is left of the kit, unmounted, and I want to be sure that is not needed, give me your opinion :
-1 extra diode
-some 100ohm pullups resistors
-5 1K pullups resistors
-1 optional R20 51K resistor
-3 4670ohm pullups resistors
-optional R39 variable resistor
-Mica for Q17 (I really don't know what it is)
-some washers

It is. And the mica goes under the high side driver.

Our idea here was it was better to supply too many parts than not enough.

I noticed the MICA in the last few kits I purchased that recieved the v1.5b. What's the through behind it? I didn't think the pads were grounded.

Probably the flyback diode for the idle valve. It's required if you're using the idle valve.

The pads aren't grounded. There's a via right there; the mica is just a precaution.

Thanks guys.
I have a question : is the european pinout = to the USDM pinout? Reverant pointed me on the fuel pump pin, but he doesn't remember exactly where it must go. And what about other pins?

Other pins are fine. I've built a few units for european cars, fully equiped with A/C etc, and none had any problems.

Thanks a lot. Where the fuel pump pins is on EUDM cars? I only have this diagram, but it's from an USDM manual

I have finished now to make all the "edge pin connection" except fuel pump. I am a bit confused about "Pull Ups" and "I/O circuits", maybe I'm only very tired.
Can someone explain these simple?

It's in the spare I/O header in the top/middle of the board.

Found and connected.
Now I'm loading the firmware.
The base map that I have downloaded use MS2/Extra 3.0.3 - 20090912, I must install these FW (that I can not find) or the 3.0.3 20100522 is ok?
I'm Trying with 20100522...finger crossed :-)

Firmware flashed.
Now when I try to open the MSQ tunerstudio give me this error : <<cannot find the controller definition file (ini, ecu) for signature:MS2 Extra Rel 3.0.3h>> and ask me to select the appropriate configuration file.

What's wrong?

I have used the last firmware included in the package of DIYPNP website.
But the base map for this specific application is based on an old firmware, that I cannot find

http://www.diyautotune.com/diypnp/ap...0-18bp-mt.html

Is this the reason for the strange error that tunerstudio give me?
