ok well if you thought my previous questions were stupid - hold onto your hat coz i have a doozy for ya!!
does it matter what sort of wire i use for wiring up my db37 plug? do i need to use 'automotive" wire from an auto shop, or can i just any light gauge wire from an electronics shop for example . the plugs on the db37 are pretty small, that's all. most auto wire is kind heavier gauge isn't it ?

Regular electronics wire will work. The wire isn't going to be exposed to the elements anyway is it? Mine isn't so it doesn't matter. You might want to use 16ga for your grounds and injector wires. The DIYautotune "bundle" comes that way.
Not that I care if you buy our bundle or not-- but it's worth a look-- I've seen harnesses built with other wire and watched people laugh at them, and then seen shops replace them with our harnesses (same wire that's in our bundles) and that can't say enough good things about them. You'll have trouble finding that many colors of wiring very affordably. Our bundle is color coded, has printed labeling on the wire every few inches, and is automotive grade meaning it's rated for high temps and won't cook easily. It's really good stuff...

thanks guys.
i actually just found about 10 metres of automotive grade stranded wire that i got in another kit that i won't be building any time soon. it seems to be thin enough that it will fit in the db37 connector. i only have 3 colours, but i guess that so long as i label everything clearly, i should be ok.
