So I finally got my MS to read everything and with harness from Braineack it should fire up but... Motor turns over and tries to start but doesn't...
I tried MSPNP settings for 9495 version - nothing :/

Req fuel is set? IIRC, you have to reset your cranking pulsewidths as well. You did both of those?

If you get fires but its not starting, maybe a backfire after enough cranking, try swapping the ign wires on your MS board and firing it up then. Alot of times they are just backwards. Just try it, can't hurt anything.

I'm pretty sure i matched his outputs on the MS board to match his harness. If they were backwards and it was trying to start, he'd get really weird pulses of the engine trying to turn the crank back down on itself.

try setting your tps values. and make sure your laptop is hooked up and when you crank you see rpms. I put your tach signal on 4F which should be correct.

i triple-checked every wire - its correct. ill try to calibrate tps tonight and play with cranking pulse widths.

ps: i get from 200 to 500 rpm on crank.

if it sees rpm and you're getting spark which you said you were, and the ecu controls fuel, it should start up.

listen to make sure the coil outputs aren't reversed. it will try to pop and almost stop trying to crank. whats happening is it's firing when the piston is still traveling up. however, I'm 95% positive it wont.

backfire usually means too much fuel

so i reversed my spark plug wires and it started! but extremely roughly... and then... after 10 minutes... it died completely and now it wont start at all!!!!!!!

it was running extremely rough and was sputtering until i loaded 1.6t map - then it was all good for about 4-5 minutes and then it died...

i reversed my wires back, hooked up stock ecu, and now i get no spark!! did i fry my coils or just messed up wires??

Was your spark setting set to inverted or non-inverted? What was your dwell set to?

Do you have a 9495 PNP?

So then why did you use those settings?

yup, she flew. all the way to the scene of the crash.

Maybe you'll read up on why that was a bad idea, replace what you fried, and fix your mistakes.

Not sure what kind of dwell they're running, though it should have been set right in terms of being setup for non-inverted spark.
