Default Another no-tach - fixed.

car is a 95.5, 3 wire coil - MSlabs ms2 basic

problem solved,

depinned b/w wire from 1f, and repinned into blank spot into 2I, tach works fine now.

From trubokitty.com:

"Using a spare 1K resistor from your assembly kit and jump IG- and B+ in your diagnostics box (located near the driver shock tower). Shape the resistor into a wide “U” and trim the legs down so it fits inside the cover. Make sure it doesn’t touch any other pins -- B+ connects directly to the battery."

This should restore signal to your tach gauge.

Thats the pullup for a diy MS3. I could be mistaken but almost positive the Rev units have that internally.

I thought that fix only worked for the 94-95.5 cars

my car is a later build 95

ive been trying to confirm with rev this issue, I know the ms2e has a tach output, but not sure if it was catered specifically to the late 95 model car I have

Ha, well you know what they say... easiest way to get the right answer on the internet is for someone else to post the wrong answer

I already solved the issue

it was super simple... only applies for 95.5 - 96 obd1.5 cars, the wierd ones... just gotta move a pin on the factory harness, 5 min fix

took two days to realize it however

Default Mine was just the opposite

[QUOTE=trance|ghost;1470211]
car Early 95 Miata
My 1f pin was empty and the 2I had the black/white coil wire. I depinned 2I and moved it to 1f and now my tachometer works. MSPNP2
