Are you looking for a 1st baseman, 2nd baseman, or pitcher?

I heard Jeter is old and tired. He might be available soon.

Are we certain the OP isn't looking for a catcher?

OP is definitely a catcher, looking for a pitcher.

I see this has turned into a post where I am gay and no useful info will come. Glad I joined this forum. Off to a great start

Oh no he is disappointed with the forum, whatever will we do.

Have you tried DIYautotunes basemaps? No one here is going to just make you a base map, what are we, your basemen? Find someones build thread that is similar to yours, and politely ask them via PM for their map, start there. Or use one of DIY's. Or one of the many already posted here.

Whining about it will just make us harder, and all the pitchers here will line up for you to catch us.

I have tried to load other basemaps but they are for different firmware so they don't load correctly. I am basically looking for how to setup everything properly. Most write ups are geared towards ms2 or ms3 and have setting that I don't have so it doesn't help me very much

Have you ever considered flashing to firmware that works with the basemaps you have?!?

That's the point, you're supposed to look at others' maps and populate your own while taking theirs into consideration. You don't just load theirs in.

That's lazy and stupid, and a very good way to break stuff.

I have the latest firmware i can load on my ms1. The ms2/ms3 I am not able to load their firmware. I have looked at other msq that were posted and I'm not exactly sure what all everything is and what I need to change. But I've fried my stock coil and nowhere cop setup I guess. Just trying to figure out what the hell I am doing wrong. Trust me this is my last resort. I have spend 4 weeks trying to figure this out. I am a tech by trade so by no means am I dumb. I have diagnosed alot on this car but this last step seem to be the one giving my the most issues. I wish I would have went ems. This megasquirt seems like a huge pile of ****. Way to generic for my tastes and one wrong setting there goes a couple hundred bucks.

Techsalvager?

I'd love to see you try another EMS and report back. Go ahead and try a Hydra, its $2,000 so it must be awesome right?

I bolded the area you need to address 1st and foremost: figure out what each of those things actually does. That will be a good start.

Dude.

I have trouble believing you've been working at this for 4 weeks if you don't understand why you can't load MS2/MS3 firmware on a MS1.

Being a tech (whatever that means) and saying you're not dumb does not disqualify you from being dumb.

Being smart does that.

Loading firmware isn't my issue. I have it loaded and its great. I can't load the firmware for the ms2/ms3 stuff. I am away of what most of the settings are that I am playing with I'm just not sure what the differences are between my setting that don't work and other msq that I have seen that do work. Until I can figure that out I am not able to enjoy my car. I have spent 4 weeks trying to figure this out. I get about 2 hours a night on weekdays to play with it. So 10 hours a week. I have followed many write ups on setting up the megasquirt but many seem to be using megatune which I am using tunerstudio so I dig through the little settings I have to try to configure it the same

Start reading the mega manual here. It will teach you everything you need to know about running a Megasquirt. Then after you have been through it 2 or 3 times and you still have questions come ask. From just a brief look at your first post you should be able to get running with a DIY basemap with changing the required fuel and dwell settings. Also posting logs of what is happening when you try to start the car and a MSQ file of your current tune would also be helpful.
