Default Bench testing MS2 Ignition

I am currently helping a fellow auto-xer troubleshoot some potentially ECU related issues with his 97 on MS2:

Start of problem: Driving home after an Auto-X day, car cuts off. Car gets towed home.

Troubleshooting: Discovers no spark. Looks at connector for coils (he runs Toyota COPs), discovers actual cancer. He suspects a wire may have shorted out something on the ECU.

Repair attempt: Re-pins ignition harness using Ballenger connectors. Car cranks strong, does not fire. He attempts to update ECU firmware, bricks ECU from incorrect firmware.

ECU Comes to me: I have re-loaded firmware and flashed basemap (both from the people who built his ECU) and can successfully communicate in Tunerstudio. We are now trying to verify that the ECU is driving the ignition circuit properly before we trace down other problems. Probing IGN1 and IGN2 in output test mode both read 1.52 volts.

What else can I do to test ignition at the ECU?

The ECU is an MS2 from Stratified Auto. I do not see any obviously burned connections on the board.

Ignition driver appears to be TIP120 with no obvious damage... Might not be possible to really test without an oscilloscope from what I understand.
