What would make the boost initial duty table highlight the cells at 100% throttle when the engine is running

and at 30% throttle regardless of actual throttle position when the engine is not running, any ideas of what I should look for ?

Thanks

Can't tell anything from your screenshots: One has the TP at 54%, the other at 60%, so the displays appear to make sense.

Take a look at the boost control initial duty table dot, that indicates where the throttle and rpm's are relative to it.
The first screen shot is with the engine running, throttle at 53% near 5k rpm, the table is showing 100% throttle at the correct rpm.
The second screen shot is with the engine not running 60% throttle and the boost control initial duty table sows throttle 30%with the correct rpm.
Hence (I think) that MS3 is only using full throttle rpm cells when running regardless actual throttle position to get EBC close to where it needs to be for PID to give the final adjustments.
It is not what I would expect, perhaps I have a wrong setting somewhere...
Thanks for the help !!!

But the Y-Axis on that table specifies boost target, not throttle%. And since your boost target was at 100 at that time, everything seems to be in order....

The Y axis on the table is boost target, not TPS -- so the big question is why are aren't you targeting any boost.

As I understand from the help window,

the Y axis is a guess of what % of duty time the EBC valve will be open for any given throttle (on the left Colum) and rpm (on the bottom row), I started mostly closed EBC % to run on the canister boost and was going to gradually increase duty % to increase boost to find the correct settings without hitting over boost cut off all the time, but then noticed that the pointer is only on the top row when running and the bottom row when the engine is off and nothing in between...

Any body knows why this would happen? am I wasting my time with this initial duty table? or just plain wrong? the car is running EBC OK with the "initial duty table un-selected" under boost control settings.

I would first tune open loop and then just copy the tables over. That way you know that the PID is not interfering.

Disclaimer: I haven't done this myself yet, so I'm not speaking from experience!

even better you can start in closed loop and just check your logs for the real value and plug it into the table.
