Closed Loop RPM target = 0

Closed Loop RPM target = 0
To preface this question, I'll be writing a build thread once I have time to sit down and work on it. But for now, this problem is bugging me..
I've been having troubles with cold starts since my MS3 (Rev built) install. I've successfully installed RX8 Yellows and have the car driving around. However, during cold starts (coolant temps around 5C), the car will need throttle to start and throttle to keep it going until its warmed up. I've adjusted my crank settings, ASE and WUE but still haven't really gotten this problem to go away. Today I noticed what the issue might be..
My CL target RPM idle when cold reads: 0RPM (the gauge). So whenever I lift from throttle, my RPMs plummet to 0 and the car stalls out when I'm driving. When my car is warmed up (I'm still trying to determine the coolant temp of warm), the gauge displays idle target of: 850RPM. So I'm assuming that because CL idle registers that idle RPM should be 0 when cold, it drops the RPMS to just that when throttle is lifted. But I'm puzzled as to why it would register 0 RPM at idle when my CL idle RPM settings are set to 1500 when cold (see picture).
I've ruled out crank pulse/ASE/WUE as the car will start then idle at a very low RPM by itself. However, once throttle is applied, the RPMS will go up, then drop to a stall.
I think my problem has to do with how the software is registering the CL RPM target..
What do you guys think?
