Got the injector controller before 11 am today. That was excellent. Soldering it in was quite easy. Thanks guys for that par.t
Still having issues. I believe it stems from the firmware. I should have not uploaded ithe new one as I don't have a copy of the original. No spark or injector pulses now.
Reverant - i haven't heard back from you.
Anyone have old firmware from 2011 specific to my MS2

Do you have a tunerstudio projects folder in your my documents folder? You should be able to pull a tune restore point from before the firmware upgrade there, then try and compare it to your current tune inside tunerstudio (file -> compare tune)
I think I remember someone else flashing firmware and having ignition channels move to really strange output pins. If you compare the tunes you might maybe be able to straighten it out yourself, maybe. 3.3.3 is a pretty big jump for MS2, it makes it look all MS3 like.

Since the electrons flow well with you what capacitor would could replace this battery? A 12V 4Ah 80CCA Please note that I do not actually need the starting amps I just need a pass through device as we kickstart the mini bike and we dont need 10bls hanging up and at the rear of the bike. All that polar mass is wasteful plus the battery is dead and I'm cheap.
Cliffs: I never found much solid, definitive data about the use of a capacitor array in this context. One guy online built a bunch of them and proved that they work, but seems to have been very evasive with regard to true pricing info.
Some people have used LiPo / LiFePO4 rechargeable batteries, of the sort commonly found in RC cars and airplanes, as starting batteries in their cars. This, for instance, is the car of Leafy, a member here who posted in the above thread:
They're quite inexpensive and can deliver large amounts of current for a short time. Personally, they scare me a little as quality control on the packs available to consumers seems to be spotty and they do occasionally explode.

I'm into Electric, Nitro and Gas R/C cars so I have a bit of familiarity with LiPo. I still prefer non electrics so I havent moved up to them yet.
I'll test a capacitor some day when I get some more time.

Excellent news, reloaded the latest firmware again and this time chose a different Micro/mMega install option and after that I saw my 1st injector NOID lighting up. Threw the intake back together and tried to start it. Was cracking and bucking but then battery was to weak.
Going to load my Saturday tune tomorrow am which was a great 3 cylinder tune and start it up and go from there.
So relieved, and now I am way more confident in working with printed boards.

Try flood clear mode (floor it before trying to start) to blow out any remaining fuel. Do that for say 10seconds, then let it rest for 30, and do it again.
Then try to start. See if it's better or worse.
If worse, try turning the key off, on for 5 sec, off, on 5sec, then start. This gives it an extra priming pulse. If it immediately starts, it liked having that extra fuel.

Really odd, it starts without spark plugs 2 and 3 in. Sounds like crap but it runs.
I tried existing and new coils and checked for spark and spark is there. Those plugs seem dry though.
An injector setting or is that another chip on the board issue? I hate pulling the intake so I'm going to try and start with the original ECU. Maybe tonight or next week. I'm gone for a while which is ok as I need some space from the car

There were also some driver chips on custom board with some diodes. This mini board was in the Proto area of the large main board. Sorry I should have taken pics.
Reverant would know this board like the back of his hand but I haven't had any email replies.
I won't be touching the car until Friday now. But please keep the suggestions coming

Those two other drivers should be 3 and 4, but that's not by cylinder but firing order. What I think has happened is you've got it set in batch fire mode, so try changing these settings. The settings I loaded from your file are on the left, what I suggest is on the right.
Also, see where it says injector drivers over there? Do you have an option for additional drivers? If so, use that setting.

why was the map changed to being with?
don't blindly change these settings. you don't want simultaneous firing, unless you like firing all injectors at once.
iirc some of reverants older MS2-enhanced units didnt use "additional drivers" as a setting for seq. injection, but used the 2nd bank settings. again, iirc.

Got back today from Montana.
Thanks Rev for mentioning that it was a DIYPNP. I went back and loaded choice 3 which was (DIYPNP) of the latest firmware. Then I loaded the old msq again that you gave me in 2011. Changed req fuel and then injector times to 1.2 for my DW 600cc Denso's. Put things back together and wow - it started.
I got a little shaky. It really worked ! It sounded better, it revved better. I still pulled #1 then #3 and yes they responded.
I had to sit down after that.
Thank you to everyone for helping me here with this. Great to have the resources and depth of knowledge.
I just got back from Montana and just missed 4th of July. I've been there twice for it and really enjoy your patriotism. Enjoy tomorrow.
Rev I hope things get better in Greece and you were not affected in any limiting way by what is happening there.
I've been out autotuning/ breaking in / breaking loose the rear tires. I'm at 3 psi now, I can imagine more will be wild.

Uh oh. Misfiring when cold. Went away after a minute.
The next week misfire still after 5k when warm.
Cylinder 4 manifold cold. Spark check is fine. Noid check on #4 - no lights.
Will check MS2E harness continuity next and report.
