Default DIY autotune's maps rock!

you can really tell the time they put in those maps. i just changed the req fuel for my 330s, richened up the idle some. and went for a drive to see how far the map is off. well, its almost dead on! running 9psi on a 13g turbo. WOT afr was right around 12flat all the way accross!!!! just need to lean out the cruise, but thats basically it, but its actually close enough that 02 corection could take care of. GREAT job guys!

Yeah, I was very impressed with the NA maps. Same here, just leaned out the cruise and I'm done until the turbo install.

meh.. something must be off the wall in my application but I couldn't get their map to run worth a crap. I had to get one from cjernigan. the spark map is also overly conservative in boost and it causes a bit of a studder in my car at the transition point. I had to advance the timing map by about 4-5 degrees in the first boost row and 2-3 in the second to smooth it out.

Well, that's good news. I haven't quite gotten that far yet. I'm having idle issues myself. and the warmup enrichments seem off, but it's coming along. once the car is warmed up it seems to idle great. accel enrichment needs just a little tweaking.

Bottom line is i need to install my wideband before i go another single step.

DIY Autotunes map is dead on. I get like 15:1 in cruise. 13 - 14:1 at WOT. Idle had to be tweaked a bit, but its pretty awesome and im getting great fuel mileage to boot.

Default basemaps

These things are called basemaps for a reason. The VE and spark maps should be fairly close, but realistically expect to have to tweak everything to get your car running right. Your mods, your fuel, your altitude, and even wear on your parts will be different than everybody else's car on the forum.

Easy to do: all someone has to do is get the req_fuel setting "close", get the car barely started, and danger COULD ensue. Personally, I'm very happy with how well the base maps work, but they do need tuning for every individual car.

Def.

I had to tweak the IAT compensation to deal with heatsoak, warm up enrichments needed tweaking, ASE needed tweaking, cranking needed tweaking, idle needed tweaking, and a few other things. The fuel and spark map are pretty dead on but a lot of the other stuff is pretty car specific.

Looks like you guys get it, but I've been seeing people bitch that the basemaps weren't perfectly dialed in for their cars. When at least they come with pretty decent basemaps. Look at most EMS systems and they come with NOTHING.

Just fitted my MSPNP last night, freaking sweet... Now I just gotta sort my variable TPS so it doesn't keep stalling when backing off quickly with the air con going.
