Default Diy Pnp and a Jdm car

I've been advised that this is the place to head for all questions megasquirt and mazda so hopefuly you can help me.

I've bought the diy pnp megasquirt and built up the boards as far as I can but now i've gotten stuck.

I need to find the pinouts for a 96 jdm ecu (it's got BPS5 on a sticker on it). It's got 3 plugs on the wiring harness and after plugging them into the jumper board from the kit i'm getting a permanent 12v on 4I and switched 12v on 4Q,4U,4V,4W,4X and 1A,1B,1G and 1V.

Thanks in advance

What pinout did you use for what you did?

buffon01, I have tried searching but can't seem to find anything that matces my car, every diagram I come across has different coloured wiring to mine so i'm not to sure about what i've found. If you can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

Ben, If you mean where did i get the numbers from it's what's printed on the board. I just plugged my harness into the board from the kit without jumpering it anywhere to see if I could figure out which is the switched 12v so I could try and load the firmware but then I found lot's of switched 12v's and got confused

This is my ecu and harness

buffon01, I've been searching the forum with terms like 'eunos ecu wiring' and 'pinouts' with no success. The page you've linked to seems to be for the standard diy build and the harness diagrams don't match my car. I've got a jdm 96 with a 3 plug harness. I've been following Ben's build here. Unfortunatly for me he's got a 99 car with different wiring to mine and i'm stuck at the jumpering the two boards together. I need to get a diagram for my cars ecu and then I can work out the rest from there, hopefuly

You may find that while the wire colors are different, the pinout is the same at the stock ecu plug. I have a "jdm" 92 eunos and used Braineacks pinout when I built My MS. All worked fine. If you are unsure it may be worth your time to get in the footwell with a multimeter and actually check the function of the wires? See if they are different colors but still the correct pinout?

The multimeter got me the switched and permanent 12v connections I listed above but I ran out of light before doing any further investigation. You're probably right about the pinouts being the same but with different colours, just would be good to get some confirmation.

Talk to braineack, he built my MS and many for other members. I merely know where to point the finger my advice is limited to that.

I built 3 MSes that I sent to Hong Kong, the only issue was it seemed the fan relay ground wasn't the same.

buffon01, I get the feeling we may have been talking at slightly crossed purposes, that or I really don't have a clue which is always a possibility. Appreciate the help though.

Braineack, that's good news to me. Gives me the confidence to start forging ahead with some wiring now.

PM me with your email; we're working on a DIYPNP jumper spreadsheet for '96-'97 cars.
