I understand the fuel pump solution. That's easy enough.
Not following on your PA0 usage. It looks like to me PA0 istied directly to something at the adapterboard, and you have your boost control input going to the CANBUS pin. Maybe it's just an illusion on the picture? But you shouldn't have a processor in or out tied directly to the adapterboard. And the CANBUS is for MS to MS communication. Am I wrong here?

I haven't tried anything in tuner studio yet.

You could give up the fan output and use a 1.6 thermosensor to activate the fan. Alternatively you could modify a Velleman mk138 to the desired temp range. Here's the schematic.
Just for clarification. 90-93 miatas do not need the ecu to control the fan. It does not need to be wired into the diypnp.

I wonder if I could use the thermosensor with the clutch switch so that the fan would only come on when the clutch was pressed. Maybe a main switch that I could turn on and off so that it wouldn't come on when the car was being started. Of course I plan on bypassing the clutch switch on startup anyway.
I really just need a temporary solution until the i/o add on comes out.

Would you post your msq. I am trying to learn TunerStudio and MS for that matter. Since you are using the same ECU it might be nice to look at your settings. It may make things a little more clear as to what's going on.
Basically I want to understand the ignition, fuel, accel enrich, and output settings and why they are what they are. I don't want to just plug in numbers and be happy that it works. I want to know why I'm changing these values.
I don't want your time or ignition map so feel free to change them before you post if you are sensitive about others having your tune.

I'm looking in tuner studio right now. Under output port I have selected PA0. This will be my boost control. I don't understand what I should select for the conditions. I don't know what all the ouput channels area. What is the threshold, < > = ????? It is this are that I will need to setup for my sequential ignition and fuel, boost control, etc and I have no clue as to what I'm doing.

I don't have MS stuff on this computer, but you set up the condition you want the output to switch states, if you want it to switch states if the condition is true or false, and if you want the output to go high (+V) or go low (ground).
You can also set up a second condition with basic logic.
For instance, these are my cooling fan conditions:
CLT> 190°
AND
RPM >500
True

I am now getting a better understanding of what MS needs as inputs. The LINK was very straightforward in comparison. If I wanted 12 psi max boost, I just put the corresponding kpa in the rpm range.
I'll see what I can do with this new info

I think I know the answer for the fuelpump - as the 09-93 Miata doesn't seem to have a fuel-pump wire to the ECU so you have to wire it separately via the MAF connector.
About PA0:
You have to wire from PA0 to BOOST (at the main board) IN and from BOOST OUT to the DB15.

I use PA7 for Boost-Control and PA0 for FAN (FAN agreening with Manual NA 90-93 from Matt)
EDIT: I just read, i dont need the Fan Wire? Ok, the i will unsolder them.

Anyone know what wire the tach comes into the factory harness on the 90-93. I looked at brain's diagram put didn't see a pin for it.
VTPS jumpers needed: SG goes to 4C and 4D, tps signal to 4K, and VRef goes to 1M

That will be easier. It seems like setting up tunerstudio is becoming a little easier. I thought I was going to have to set all of these variables for the outputs, but it appears that isn't the case. Thanks for the heads up.

If you're going to go with different ignition (like LS2 coils like me), then you'll need to worry about the tach out. If you're using ignition with on board tach drivers (stock or toyo coils), you don't have to do anything.
