Default DIYPNP MS2 NO SPARK CYLINDER 1 WHILE RUNNING. Please help!

This is the last thread I am going to make for my problem of 8 months now......

Anyone who has been following my thread labeled "newb to flashing here" will know the pain. I am making a new thread because the title does not really describe my actual problem. That thread was created so I could understand how to flash and flash and reflash and reflash some more because I knew no other solution.

SO TO THE POINT:

Tunerstudio displays "NOT SYNCED" at all times. Car's off, cranking, and running. It is never synced.

The mystery here. Car will start, but will not spark cylinder 1 whatsoever.

-I've replaced coilpacks, wires, plugs, injectors, and alternator with all OEM stuff besides running ngk 6 plugs. Trust me, there is nothing wrong with my damn coil packs, don't get me started there.

-I've placed the spark plugs on the valve cover and cranked and seen all 4 plugs sparking.

-I've ran output test mode and watched the plug for cylinder one spark with no problems at all

-I've reflashed my ECU more times than I've needed to and updated to latest firmware and tunerstudio.

-I know it's spark because I'm getting fuel. Hell I've fuel washed cylinder one so much the rings are pretty much gone and the piston head is super shiny and new looking. (well it was .....read on)

-How do I know i'm getting fuel you ask? oh because when I finally pulled my turbo kit off, the runner on my manifold for cylinder 1 was SOAKED...almost puddles. The car would sound like a machine gun if I gave it gas because so much fuel was cooking off in the exhaust.

-Oh you think the injector is faulty? I pulled my oem ones and replaced with brand new oem injectors. The harness was good..... oh and read on

-ALL THAT DAMN FUEL THAT HAD BEEN flooding that cylinder out and getting slapped into the exhaust......... I plug in the stock ECU and it had no problem sparking and running all 4 cylinders no issues.

-yes, the stock ECU RUNS THE CAR JUST FINE.

-If by some miracle the car runs all 4 with the megasquirt, it literally last 3 weeks at a time before returning to this bullshit. and then I pull over, place my stock ECU and and intake w/ MAF in and continue on my way.....

So now that all that has been addressed? Can someone suggest my "NOT SYNCED" issue. Or does someone else have any idea what the hell is going on. Thanks in advance....It would be really nice to figure this out

Here is the link to my former threads on the issue.

The Not Synced indicator is probably a red-herring.

So literally right click on the gauge cluster screen and save and load what actually? I never sync.....ever. The post you linked was referring to someone who had sync loss top end.

Are you running stock coils, and wasted spark? You must be if you can run on stock ECU.

If so, how can you loose one cylinder and not two, and attribute it to the MS? Is there some setting that changes dwell on a per cylinder basis?

What happens if you swap plug wires 1 & 4 at the coil pack?

Just some thoughts to "spark" ideas.

Yep picture it as an oem ignition and fuel Set up with megasquirt and a turbo on the side.

If I swap the coil packs around, nothing changes.

When the car is barely running, I pull the wire from cylinder 1, nothing changes.

Pull it from cylinder 4...... Car pretty much dies from lack of power.

Thank you though.

Well I would like to announce that I purchased a MS3 and hope to endeavor the upgrade with breeze. My diypnp will be sent out for testing on another NB1 and then hopefully confirmed it is faulty. And then sent to be repaired where I will sell it afterwards.

I wish I had closure on the problem in case it ever happens to someone else.

I am having this issue, sorry to open a dead thread, my suspicions are with the diypnp unit itself, I had a faulty map sensor that they had to fix for me, hope its the issue. Anyone else dealt with this?
