Default EDIS4 On A 99' FTMFW

Made an adapter to mount trigger wheel, mounted trigger wheel, built bracket to hold VR sensor, mounted VR sensor. Mounted coil and ignition module. Then wired it up.

  1. 12V+ switched power via a relay to ignition module
  2. Ground
  3. + side of VR sensor
  4. - side of VR sensor
  5. 1&4 side of coil
  6. 2&3 side of coil
  7. +12V switched power from above also drives coil
7 wires later I turn the key and....

IT STARTED PERFECTLY!!!
It makes spark. I still haven't ran the two wires to MS for spark control, but it fired up in limp mode (10* BTDC) and ran. Course I have the intake ports blocked off with steel. I just sprayed some carb spray in the injector ports to see if it would start and it did. I'm very happy with it. **** works and it's simple. EDIS is the ****.

Congrats. yes, its a simple and elegant design. I am using a 1st gen eclipse turbo coilpack. It is the perfect upgrade for edis plus you can use the miata's spark plug wires with it.
