Default HELP MS2 DIY no spark and not responding.

Hey everyone it’s been a long time since I posted on here so I thought I’d just give you the low down on what’s happened. So three years ago about 1 year after I finished my turbo install and had it dyno tuned my engine spun a rod bearing. This coupled with life events started the longest rebuild process I’ve been through.

So finally the car is all back together and we are getting ready to start it and low and behold I have no spark. So at first I suspect my coils as I figured I left the ign on by accident at some point and they were indeed shot. But still no spark? So I replaced the CAS and guess what ....still no spark. So I dug up my stock ecu and plugged it in and now I have spark but it’s way off (I believe this is due to a bad damper and the timing marks wandering) so I’m now led to believe there is something wrong with my megasquirt

My ms2 is diyauto tune kit built by braineak three years ago. I have full confidence in his ability I’m pretty sure I messed something up. My laptop will not detect the firmware or link to the ecu either. Anyone have any ideas. I will post pics of the board to see if you guys can identify anything. I’m not going to lie this kind of stuff tends to not really be in my wheel house so bare with me and my dumb questions.

Where should I start?

Could I have burned up the megasquirt leaving ign on?

First off, the no connection issue. Do you have the necessary drivers installed for the serial cable you are using?
