Here is the fueling equation:
PW = DT + (ReqFuel * MAP * Stoich/AFRtarget * VE[RPM,MAP] * AirDen * BaroCor * corrections)
The fuel equation is altered by the ratio of the Stochiometric AFR claimed here:
And the value from the AFR table here:
For instance, at 1200 RPM, and 34kPa, the factor would be 14.7 / 14.7, or no change. If one wanted a richer mix at that setting, he would change the AFR table from 14.7 to 13. The fueling equation would then be altered by the factor 13 / 14.7 to give more fuel in order to re-target to 13 AFR, without the tuner having to change the VE table.
Thus, the AFR reading is not involved at all. Only values that are programmed in.

I think everyone else is tired, so I'll fill in (I got this one)
..
ahem,
..
Seriously? [long run-on-sentence] You come to a web forum with arguably the best (and largest) group of turbo miata enthusiasts, and get defensive, because people are giving you suggestions you don't want to hear?
Break it down
1. You state that you've tried everything.
2. You ask us for help
3. We give the best advice our collective can provide.
4. You dismiss each suggestion and don't try any of it.
5. Your car still doesn't work well enough, repeat at step (1.).
An endless loop.

When you checked it, it was good? On what basis? You're numbers don't match therefore it's not.
Are you a tween or something? What part don't you understand? Your VE table objectively sucks. And it can only get fixed via a working wideband, and a working knowledge of tuning.
That's what's causing your issues. Fix your wideband. Fix your VE table. THEN you might touch AE. AE assumes a finished and tuned VE table. A finished VE table depends on a working wideband.
There.
Fix your wideband.
The only reason I have this much patience is ep give the more knowledgeable guys a break. But I'm all ourt now... especially after that last reply.
Good luck little guy.

Ah, the good old "It's not me that is wrong, it's everyone else".
Let me tell you how this looks from my point of view:
1) Guy comes in, asks for help as he has AFR problems (lean spike)
2) Guy gets asked for logs to show what exactly his problem is
3) Guy provides screenshots of logs (not even actual log), and says his AFR sensor (wideband) is not calibrated correctly
4) Guy gets told that you cannot fix and diagnose an AFR issue without a calibrated AFR sensor, and needs to fix it
5) Guy gets mad, saying that you don't need a calibrated AFR sensor to fix AFR issues
For your sake, I hope you learn some humility at some point in your life. Very experienced people are giving you free advice here when you've got a problem you couldn't figure out yourself, yet you still think you know better.

Exactly what I mean. Another person who couldn't understand what I was saying. Up until #4 you were right, but I said that the actual lean spike, although a few points off, is still accurate and doesn't matter if it's 20 or 22 afr. The actual change in that spike is what I described as being important, because you did not need to know exact values for the lean spike..... It's a lean spike. I provided screenshots because 1) those were the entire logs and 2) for convenience purposes so people for example on their phones can see. I know people are experienced on this forum, but they gave me novice answers and ones that I have already tried. So I told them that it won't/didn't work because I already tried. If this still does not make sense then there's no way you should be giving me advice if you can't understand my true issue. You guys all think it's the common "FAQ" issue, and I told you in the beginning it wasn't, and then I get blamed for not listening when you guys haven't told me 1 thing other than what I asked you not to say. So from my POV you guys haven't listened once in 3 days of this thread being live

I'm going to repeat this again since you seem to have a reading comprehension problem (It's okay, my adopted daughter was diagnosed with a comprehension deficit disorder):
The ground for the wideband and the ground for the ECU should be from the same location. If one is grounded at the steering column then the other should be grounded at the steering column.
Both should have the same power source. If one receives power from the cigarette lighter or power window circuit then the other should have power from the same circuit.
