Default Hi Res Capacitor (JS8 to Ground)

Hey all, i've almost finished my megasquirt v3 build and have a question which seems unanswered in my searches.

I know that to run hi res code well I have to install a 0.1uf capacitor between JS8 and Ground. However I have found a spare 0.22uf 50v capacitor in my build, can I use that instead as a substitute?

P.s. I've been following brain's brilliant build guide here:

i dont know the answer to your question BUT here is my 2 cents:

The cap. costs like a buck. just go to radioshack and get the correct one.

Ratshack may not exist in the UK.

IIRC, you may be able to use a higher/lower value, but I'm not certain which way you're allowed to go (probably up). Keep searching and you may find it; it would probably be faster to just source the correct cap, though.

Chances are with a higher cap rating you'll filter out stuff you actually want rather than the spikes that the 0.1uf cap gets rid of.

Use the correct cap or don't bother.

Fair enough, I've ordered a few off ebay. Maplin wanted £3 delivery for a single capacitor!!! That is unbelievable as it probably weighs less than 1 gram!
