just got my 460s in and needed to redo my fuel maps....took a 30min datalog, put it in MLV to tune to my targets and it doesn't do anything (0 changes). Take a 10min datalog same thing. Open an old log and different msq file and it works...but my tune is way off from my targets, so i dont see why it hates me today.

 

just scale the map and go drive.

 

Did you adjust the fuel req in the main setting for the larger injectors? It uses that number with the VE maps to set fuel.

 

yeah, had to lower to map by 5 points across.

i got it close, just out of boost cruise is off...last time i just logged my drive to work....when i got there ran MLV and had it adjust the tune for me. Went back out and it was 99% there. this time no dice.

 

I disable things like EGO correction and accel enrichments when datalogging to tune the fuel map so the AFRs i get are from just the fuel map with no other corrections by MS while driving. Then reactivate those settings later.

 

yeah did the same....just confused why it really itsn't even trying to adjust the map for me. Oh well, hand tuning it is.

 

Thats the same thing that happens to me when I tried to get it to tune my VE table with my narrowband. It instantly pops up saying their is no changes. Hopefully I will get my wideband in friday and can try that out.

 

Yeah I really havent had much luck with MLV myself. It always makes the car undriveable afterwards. I need to mess with it somemore.

 

I ran a 20 minute datalog last night to tune out this old map I had that was real close. MLV destroyed it, took it from 14.7 cruise and 12.0 boosted to 17 cruise with all kinds of stumbling and 13.5 boosted. Me and MLV aren't on speaking terms anymore.

 

hahahah, you had your AFR targets dialed in correctly?

 

Yeah I had them set correctly, it has destroyed my fuel maps a few times for no reason.
I was going to a car club cookout and loaded the new map up to go there incase someone wanted to go for a ride because no one has been in the car.
I drove down the drive way and was cussing already. I ended up not going because i was too embarassed that I screwed up a perfectly good map and I didn't know how.

Yes in MLV.
You have to open up advanced settings to see what they are. They are set from the Target AFR Table in MT initially but you can adjust them if you like.

 

Ok, I feel like a dummy here but found it. Its AFRBins1 and AFRBins2

 

so it sounds like you just shifted the map... you need to change the fuel constants for the new injectors

 

sorry, i did both. in boost it was still close, cruise sucked.

was 8.7 req, now like 5.6 or something....still had to shift the table to idle and get close.
