That looks like a pretty bare minimum MS judging by the chips. Looks like a max232 and a motorola 68xxx on the main board, a handfull of FETs on the secondary board. You are an ambitious, very bored man.

Edit: The papers underneath the wiring sort of give it away judging by that clearly indicated map sensor outline :P.

Is that 2 sides strip-board? If so, where did you get it.

As for what it is. Idk, I see a big chip, and a shift register, and a board with some mosfets on it.

if this is a bootleg MS1, then according to SOPA and PIPA, this forum should be raided right about...now.

It is only a MS1... If you made a proper board for the MS3 with all the hardware on it that the software supports... Well... That would be news..

Not really, it's just power and comms, there's no replication of the MS3x which is what IHI is intimating.

so replace the msI cpu with the MS3 cpu? all you need on the mainboard is the power and a few of the inputs like the ait and clt. I realize it wouldn't be on the same board so to speak, but whatever...

Is this in response to the Honda ECU thread where it would be "nice" to have a simple fuel/air only computer for cheap so we don't get people trying to put Honda stuff in our cars?

Exactly the point IHI was making, doesn't replicate all the MS3x circuits!

yeah yeah, I get it.

we need an integrated v3.0+ms3+ms3x board called the v3.33x module

but that would be too easy, and apparently people are still too cheap to just buy the CPU and upgrade from MSI or MSII

My guess . . .

Joe was bored.

Joe takes picture of whatever happens to be on the workbench in his bomb factory.

Joe posts picture on MT.

Joe sits back with beer and laughs.
