If You Bought a MS From Me And Your EBC Is Not Working

sorry about the joke, I didn't think it would be taken seriously, but i suppose it is hard to tell when youre on the interet. as far as subscribing goes, I was actually going to and I wrote rick an email about it before the ban. i'm sure your products are of excellent quality, and the knowledge you have is overwhelming. i have read a lot of your posts, and learned a lot from them.
thanks for letting me continue to contribute and learn.

I went looking for it the mica insulator today at the radio shack. Only 1 radio shack in brooklyn had it in stock and even then only 3 pieces according to the first one i went too. When I got there it wasn't in the parts cabinet, the women went in the back and spent 15 minutes looking, found 3 packages. The boxes look like something radio shack sold 15 years ago. The package had 2 mica insulators, which is nice.
Just something to keep in mind, radioshack may be problematic, at least in brooklyn.
edit: Oh yea, it made my EBC work. Now just to..... have an ebc...... to plug into it.

I'm wondering if this could be my problem as well. I used the diyautotune mod except I put a heatsink on. I think it might be grounding to the top of the case (I had to squeeze it in there). I hear the solenoid clicking correctly it seems, but maybe I'm wrong.
I have the turbo connected to the input, my WG to the output, it passes through to the WG when the power is disconnected (I blew through the hose to check) and if I put the DC up to 100, it doesn't make the clicking sound (since it's always closed I assume) and I still only get 6psi which is what my WG is set at.
With the insulation problem, is it intermittent issues, or does it not work at all?

the problem has been it simply doesnt work at all, sounds like yours may be hitting the case and it's grounding out. if you hear it click its activating.
when i built my first one i did the same with a heatsink:
it didnt fit good so I bend over the legs:

Brain, I wanna make babies with you!
This is such sweet news. I can't wait to get the motor finished up and give this thing a spin. I'm still gonna run only 8psi, but the EBC should make it spool a lot better. I've got a Radio Shack around the corner... hopefully they've received a shipment of insulators this century.

If any of you put the insulator in and it still doesn't work. i have the fix.
it seems some of these kits came with a 100k ohm resistor instead of a 100ohm resistor. it will never work with a 100k resistor.
so the fix is: install insulator, replace 100k resistor off js2 with 100ohm resistor.
you can tell if you have the incorrect 100k resistor if the color bands are brown black yellow.
