for real.

cause mine only fires on one and four. there's fuel on two and three, but no spark (verified via timing light). all four fire on the stock ecu.

Is this a new ECU or a new problem on an old ECU? The first thing I would check is the coils. It'd be pretty easy to swap them and see if the problem swapped cylinders or not.

its a new ECU. since the car runs fine on the stock ECU, i dont think its the coils.

Switch the coil outputs, so the 1&4 signal fires the 2&3 coils. If it does actually do this, than it is indeed the MS, and not anything between the MS and the coil. Don't always blame the MS.

One of the transistors that controlled 2 injectors had the legs bridged on my MS. Yeah, it took quite some time to find this.

Also, what Curly said. I swear every time I have my engine out for a significant period of time I route the plug wires incorrectly and spend hours trying to figure out why its only running on 2 cylinders with soaking wet plugs.

I dont understand how this is going to help. I know that the coil will send a spark and fire cylinders 2 and 3 on the stock ECU, and not the MS. How could it NOT be a problem with the megasquirt?

Ah, I must of skipped over that part. Sorry, next time I won't contribute. So all you're doing is unplugging the stock ecu, and plugging in your adapter harness and MS?

Take pictures of the top and bottom of your board, especially the prototype area, and post them up.

Have you tried just reflashing firmware and .msq? I've had that clear up strange issues multiple times.

I'm glad you posted this as I'm having the same problem.

I'm running COPS though, with a harness that worked on the old MS1. Even ran temporary dedicated wires to my triggers and no dice...

Take the little nuts off that are on the serial connectors, remove the bottom screws and slide the board out.
