Default More MS problems...

So i finally got this installed and im having more problems. First about the MS, its a used Ms with Hires preinstalled, im trying to install the base 1994-1995 map that mspnp has on their website. When i load up Megatune and turn the ignition to the on position, all the gauges go haywire and turn on and off, is this normal?

2, When i try to open the MSQ file i get this error, "Controller voltage too low for reliable FLASH burning, try anyhow" If i click yes, it just brings the same prompt back up.

Anyone have any ideas?

It sounds like the Megasquirt is getting power, but then grounding itself out somehow. If you have a multimeter handy you can check some of the power supply voltages on the board.

Check out the schematics from the megamanual.

http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/pcb.htm

Check for 12V. If that is present on the board, make sure the microprocessor has 5V. Should be pin 20.

Post back when you have checked these.
