Intake air temperature accuracy?
Hi guys,
I've just removed the MAF and replaced it with a GM intake air temp sensor. I re-flashed the ECU with the correct firmware and everything seems to have gone well with the car running fine.
The only thing is my intake air temps seem too good to be true. For instance I took the car for a spin last night and did a WOT run in 5th gear to almost redline, and generally ran the car HARD for multiple runs and my max air temp was 17c / 62f. Outside temperature at this point was around 5c / 41f.
The reason this seems unusual is because my old car with a BEGI S3 kit ran in the range of ~30c IIRC.
Does this seem correct? Or do I need to adjust something? Sorry if this seems a bit n00bish, I just want to make sure I'm looking at a true figure.
