Hi all

ive got an MS2 built by reverant, DIYautotune usb to serial with a 1M usb extension.

Im having some problems with tuning. In my logs often i see that it time skips 2+ seconds, but never disconnects when only logging. I use tuner studio and when auto tuning and logging at the same time it errors and disconnects every 5-10min. I assumed it is an issue with my comm port settings so ive tried a bunch of settings but had no luck.

Could someone with the diyautotune USB adaptor please give me a SS of there working settings?

Im unsure of the quality of the usb extension, could electrical noise be an issue with a crappy cable?

Also does the time skips in my log seem normal?

PS. yes my tune sucks atm :(

I had this issue as well - I updated to the last version of TunerStudio and it went away.

 

Cheers, i gave 1.006 a go but same issue. Im setting up another laptop ATM with 1.006 then ill try the beta aswell and see how i go.

 

Oh btw I never autotune AND log at the same time. The serial link is certainly not fast enough to do both properly.

 

looked like it was all good with differnt lappy, but today tuner studio went offline twice while logging on my way home. weird. will keep trying new things

 

Played again with auto tune this morning and still disconnecting every 20min or so, sometimes its within a few min of starting other times its fine for 20min.This is with only autotune on and not data logging. When i data log everythings ok with no time skipping. I think its something to do with my serial settings. Could someone using Windows 7 and the DIYautotune serial to usb adaptor post up a Screenshot of there settings for me please so i can rule it out.

Just to update this for anyone searching in the future. I went back to a serial cable vs the usb adaptor and its been perfect since. That brings me to my next issue to solve .
