Default Manifold Air Temp

Manifold air temp shouldn't be reading -14* F right?

Where should I look to fix the problem?

What IAT sensor, stock or GM? Could have wrong sensor for the easytherm settings you're using.

Understandable. Get him to fix his sig so i remember in the future. Then again, being the PnP i bet there won't be a future. Looks like i need to live around atlanta. Not enough people near me in TN with megasquirt going on besides Al.

Yeah, how stupid is that? I didn't even think of it... it took the phone call with Ben to remember it. It was fixed in less than 5 minutes....

I hope that shows to anyone considering the "resistor trick" what a bad idea it is.

I had always ***-u-me 'd that the resistor lowered intake temp on a scale. Like took a percentage or a fixed value off actual. I had no clue that it would just lock it in at such a stupid value. That has to be one reason why the JRSC guys get such crappy mileage for 145 rwhp.

nope. It's tells it full cold no matter what.

I used it before to allow for advanced timing on my altima, cause otherwise the ecu would reset ignition timing regardless. Which resulted me in a 15.7x 1/4 mile, with no other mods :gay:

157.8, thank you very much

I bought the car with the supercharger already installed back in 1997, and that was the trick of trade back then. I don't think it's part of the instructions anymore with the Powercard and other better band-aids we have at our disposal now.

This brings up a whole new issue for me... I wonder what kind if mileage I can tune now... 30? 33 mpg? I wasn't even thinking this until last night. hmmmmmm

I also bought a JRSC powered 2000 and it has a PowerCard setup (and I HATE it! and am looking for something better now). I have a ScanGauge in the car and notice my IAT drops to -40 when hitting the gas. Is this the band-aid you guys are talking about? Would I get better MPG with something better?
