Default No tach signal EMS-Pro

I recently installed an ems-pro on my 95 miata, however, I am having a lot of difficulty finding the proper tach signal to make the box function correctly. It seems there is quite few options for tach signals from what I've been reading, but I have found no concrete answers nor have any of the configurations that I have read about worked.

Do you mean an MS3-PRO? If so according to the manual here it should be pin 24 on the white connector. I believe you would hook that to a black/white wire in your harness depending on which type of 95 you have.

No I have an ems-pro. The black and white wire is 1f i believe. I tried it earlier with no luck. The pin out on the ems pro is a little different. I also have an early 95. 02/95

Tach is not ECU controlled in Miata 1990-early 1995. You can confirm early 95 by finding 4 wires to each ignition coil. If you have 3 wires, then you have a late build car.

Assuming early build, you may need to just install a 1k ohm 1/4 watt resistor between IG- and 12V in your under hood diagnostics connector.

I misunderstood.

DIP switch run down is on page 3 of the installation manual, followed by detailed explanation of functions on the next 2 pages:

Don't forget to ground the gray wire with the black stripe - the directions don't quite make it clear, but this needs to be grounded when using the opto in input.

The cam sensor input on a Miata is mandatory with the stock CAS.

alright ill put it back on. The CAS only has 4 windows. How should i set this up. The settings here How to MegaSquirt your Mazda Miata dont seem to be working. I get an rpm signal briefly then it stops according to the tuner studio tach anyway.
