Default DIY Megasquirt

Hey Y'all,

I'm from the Baylor Driving Club and I recently introduced us and our project (95 Mx5 for the 2010 Grassroots Challenge).

To cut some corners and save money in our budget, we were planning on doing a DIY megasquirt, where you build your own.

http://www.diyautotune.com/catalog/m...-kit-p-28.html

Anybody have any experience with this?

Welcome!!!

Haha, yes I would say there's a few people here with the experience you seek. There's even a few who will build you one if you desire.

I would go with the V3.0 board though. The V2.2 is a little outdated and has less features if I remember correctly. Check out the Megasquirt section, everything you need to know is in there.

Only half the board has MS, lulz. About 2/3rds of that are DIY MS I'd say. If you're good with a solder gun go ahead and have fun, otherwise like lordrigamus said there are a number of people on the board that can build you one for various profits for themselves.

If you have the time, I'd suggest building your own.

The build goes very smoothly with the build manual and a DIY Auto Tune kit. All the information you need is here. You'll understand more of the entire system building it, and will be in for a smoother MS process. IMO.
