Megasquirt3x question
#62
Ok I'm out of ideas, going to change directions to get this MS3X tuned. Can someone point me in the right direction to get a base tune for a 05 MSM I will just try and do a fresh start. All I've been seeing is MS2 stuff I don't think that will work. Saturday I have a shop that will help tune the car but I will need to get it there and not sure how far I can get down the road with the idle oscillating and AFR reading 19's. Thanks in advance.
I went here http://www.megasquirtpnp.com/mspnpp_maps.php
any reason not to use this please let me know, I'm just going to compare and make changes little by little.

Thanks Matt, I did a comparison and seen there were 37 differences. I skipped the fuel injector part since they had stock and I have 1000cc's started the car and AFR's are out of the 19 range and sit on 10, I rather be rich getting the car to the tuner than lean. Strat sup was way better, idle is smoother, bumping the throttle has more consistent response to changes, and gas light just turned on so time to take a drive and get gas. I looked at the Fuel VE table and need to work on it a bit. I will post up how things pan out.

RESURRECTED! I recently purchased this build and will be carrying the torch forward. Can anyone tell me if the VVT line the only signal out of the MS3x that controls or interacts with the alternator. I'm only reading 11.8 volts at the battery with the car running on a recently replaced battery and I want to verify there is nothing in the MS that would be causing this before I look to replace the alternator.
Also, Braineack, do you know if you would have switched the pinout on this unit to a different pin for the VVT versus what may be standard for your builds since he had the alternator daughter-board on it previously that you removed. Apalac01 mentioned he sent it back and you got it fixed but couldn't remember if the pins changed. He mentioned he didn't have it running frequently enough after he got it back to be able to tell if it was working properly.
Thanks all,
-Jeremy
