MS PNP requires reading and following directions???

Ah, makes sense. On my setup the high VE rows are in the 130's around 250kPa. But that's supercharged, not turbo. Also I need more timing up top, I think that's going to change those cells, previous testing shows adding even 1* of timing causing AFRs to lean out, requiring more fuel. Will be interesting to see where I end up once I get the spark tuned for E85, might be closer to what you show in the midrange at full boost.

My VE map has a spread of 85 - 142 ( 57 points) nowhere near the resolution of yours.
Req fuel calculator says by default should run 6.6 . Still gets a small spread across fuel map.
Another post ( https://www.miataturbo.net/megasquir...9/#post1227415 ) says to run that get a good fuel map and then do a bunch of maths to set highest point to be around 220 and it is supposed to give more res, so req fuel ends up being around 2.7 and my spread on the VE from highest to lowest is still way smaller. It never gets up that high and spread is still low

this is what my actual fuel map looked like with those same injectors:
dont worry about the ******* spread.
dont worry about the ******* "resolution".
dont worry about the ******* shape.
dont worry about the ******* numbers.
worry about if you have enough fuel or not.
dont worry about the ******* spread.
dont worry about the ******* "resolution".
dont worry about the ******* shape.
dont worry about the ******* numbers.
worry about if you have enough fuel or not.

As promised here is the latest log. I did a run to the gas station, an on ramp uphill WOT run, and several 2nd and 3rd gear "what happens if I went WOT RIGHT NOW?" moments.
The drivability of of these new settings is AMAZING, just a few slight flat rubber bandy feelings spots that I can't quite decipher where the issue is coming from. My AFR's look good, but I'm staring at the gauge pod, ad I'm not a pro at reading these logs yet (what to compare, what to look out for, etc. etc.)
Thanks everyone for contributing, specifically Pat, Rev, Brain, and 18psi.

After reviewing the data at WOT time which starts at 885s, the only thing that seems bouncy is my AFRs. When viewed on the VE table, the target glides across 35-3800RPM all the way to 7kRPM at 160kPa, but my log shows anywhere from 142-172kPa during the same instance.
Is it because there is too much of a difference between the numbers at 140-160-180kPa on my VE table, so as engine load increases or decreases slightly during WOT it is making LARGE (relatively) changes to my fuel spray and thus giving me a rubber band effect in my power band?

This thread has been a good read so far. I have no idea what everyone is talking about but still entertaining lol.
I'm going to be adding an MSPNP-Pro to my 1990 with 1997 a engine soon so I might be the next guy trying to decipher my *** from a hole in the ground. It's good to know that in the midst of getting flamed I might actually get some decent support if I can hang in.

I regret not spending major coin on the newest and best ECU.
I regret not tuning my car before I went turbo.
I regret not getting 550cc+ injectors from the get-go
I regret focusing my research on VE, and not studying spark tables, AE, and AFR tables.
I regret getting a chinese turbo
Assume from the get-go you will eventually want to make 60PSI at 3000 RPM, and buy parts that support that goal. Don't wildly change things. Change 1 thing at a time. When you encounter an issue, stop and think, search (you won't find what you're looking for because you'll be frustrated and you need to use the google search forum method to find what you really need) then ask, get flamed 50 times, get a good answer and try it out. It's a steep learning curve but it all comes together very quickly.
Car runs crazy good at ~12PSI now. 4.5 weeks to get to that point.
Week 1 - Won't idle-Idles, but won't run-runs AND idles but poorly.
Week 2 - Pretty sure bandaids run better-start tweaking stuff, runs good-tweak it more, runs bad-undo what you did, runs worse.
Week 3 - miatatur-bro enters the ring like John Cena, gives me a hyperspeed education, tweaks my spark map, teaches me to use VEA on Megalog viewer, instead of VEAL on Tunerstudio-I can now change things at will by reviewing specific points of data, and I am free to actively disagree with what VE analyze thinks I should do since I'm using MLV instead of TS.
Week 4 - give up on AE pretty much completely, doesn't seem to matter since VE tables are so good-Stop worrying about the shape of my VE table, Brain is right, the shape means nothing. My table looks like Appalachia, but with more sodomy.
Current week - Nitpicking to get it "perfect."
I wouldn't trade the experience for anything. Good luck with your build, and again, get an MS3 or better.

I was hunting down idle issues when I went out for a WOT run with my new 3" exhaust. Sounds crazy, and on top of that spool is down to 3400RPM, not bad for the ISIS knockoff turbo BEGI sells. BOV blew at 5k RPM without me lifting, and after I could not build positive boost. I was able to feel inside of the outlet and touch charge piping. Pretty sure that's the culprit. Carnage at 524S.
I've never heard of a knockoff ebay greddy dying. I guess I'm a first victim of an even worse run of chinese ****?
So, do I want a TurboXS RFL like I had back in the early 2000s? I think I kind of do, only ebay is calling me again with their cheap prices... Thoughts?
